The San Juan Trifold Wallet is a blend of indigenous weaving technique and contemporary color and design concepts. The 100% cotton wallet, adorned with a rectangle of handwoven backstrap loom textile, has an outside zip coin pocket, six slots for credit cards and a long pocket for bills and receipts. The backstrap loom fabric is handwoven by the San Juan Weaver’s Group which is made up of Tz’utujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Velcro closure. Folded, the wallet is 3.5 inches by 5 inches.
