The San Juan Moon Bag is made of fabric hand woven on the backstrap loom by the San Juan Weaver’s Group in the Guatemalan highlands. The wide, comfortable strap can be worn across the chest or on the shoulder. 100% cotton, lined, zipper closure, two inside pockets one zip, one cell phone. Machine washable in cold water on the gentle cycle, air dry. The San Juan Weaver’s Group is made up of Tz’utujil women who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient labor intensive technique of hand tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Their style of weaving uses textured cotton thread which softens with each washing.
